Captain Harvey Abke

Captain Harvey was raised on Lake Somerville as he grew up in nearby  Katy, Texas.  He spent many years fishing the lake with family and friends.  

He started his guiding career on saltwater in Freeport, Texas over 25 years ago, guiding in both freshwater and saltwater.  Using his vast knowledge of Lake Somerville, he began guiding over 12 years ago.  Captain Harvey considers himself an expert on the layout of the floor of Lake Somerville.  

Captain Harvey does his very best to accommodate his clients and wants each man, woman or child who fishes with him to not only catch fish, but enjoy doing it.  A deckhand is utilized on each outing to ensure each guest is well taken care of while he keeps his boat on top of the fish. 

Captain Harvey's departing line to his customers is commonly "until we meet again, Tight Lines."
